Birdcage Card

I was a very lucky recipient of a collection of fantastic Secret Santa gifts.  One of them was the laser cut bird cage in this card.  Background is Michael Strong and the bird was cut with my Expression.  All card stock and inks are Club Scrap.

My Little Houses

House #10 The House of Music
So I am now up to 9 houses.  Above is House #8: The Dog House.   At the top is House #9 The Boat House
House #7:  The House of Gratitude

Below #6:  The Bell Tower
Above House #1:  The First House on the Block

Below House #2:  Cozy Cottage in the Woods

Below House #3:  The House of Stone
Below House #4:  The House of Expressions
Below, House #5:  The Log Cabin
While I am making tags I also intend to make at least 12 of these little houses as well.  They are templates from Club Scrap.   Some are the Digi-Hybrid that I can download and print out on any paper I choose.  A few will be from Scholarship that are die cuts and I will alter.  These have been a lot of fun and as I make them they are placed on our Christmas tree with a light inside of each one.  I will keep adding as I go.

Adding 3 more tags...above is Day #7 using sticky backed canvas for the poinsettia

Below is Day #8 with the Club Scrap Digi-hybrid house
And below here is Day #9 using the Rosette die.
So far I have 6 out of 7 made!   Tag 5
Tag 6 above and 2 below

Above is #4 and below is #3.
Well I'm giving it a try again this year.  I would really like to make all 12 tags using what I have...which shouldn't be a problem at all.  So today I played around with my Cricut and the Heritage cartridge.  I needed an old house and a picket fence and Heritage had just what I needed.   I really messed up the "snow" using paint too soon after inking with the Distress ink.  But some embossing with White Diamonds covered up the gooped paint.

Making Creative Messes

It seems that the messier I get when creating, the more enjoyment I get out of it.  Plus I usually end up liking what I have made.  Whether I'm working on a project, swap or just playing around, the more cluttered my work area becomes the better the results.  How many times have I cleaned up my desk and craft room only to gleefully turn it into a disaster area again.  I can't say that I recently cleaned but I have recently made a mess pondering over many different design ideas for an ATC swap with members of West Coast Scrap-N-Chat.  Through my typical evolving style of art, I started out with one idea and ended up with something totally different that I am quite happy with.  Hope the WCSS ladies are happy with it too.

Rainy day cards

With the rain today came an urge to create with the latest Club Scrap kit "All That Jazz". This is one luscious kit with probably my all time favorite graphics.

Healthy Living

My dear husband, Bob, has started his own blog. This is all about our healthy lifestyle we chose nearly 3 years ago in order to turn around his serious health issues. And he has and then some! Take a moment to read about his success on a link he has provided there.
